Hey there, fellow travelers on the path of life! Boy, do I have a story to share with you today. You see, like many of you, I wear multiple hats – I’m a metaphysician, a trance channel psychic, a teacher, a mentor and developing business owner. Recently, amidst all the hustle and bustle, I found myself caught in a cycle of constant “doing” without really taking the time to just “be.” I had to reclaim my balance and harmony!
Let me tell you, it’s a struggle that hits close to home, and lately, it’s been knocking on my door louder than ever. As a full-time caregiver, life can be very busy. Often time passes without my realizing that I haven’t taken a moment for myself. I am keenly aware that every moment I have to recharge myself is precious, and yet the pressure to keep moving can be overwhelming. Recently, something remarkable happened. The United Souls – my trusted guides – whispered a simple yet profound message: “Pause. Breathe. Be.”
Now, I’ll admit, slowing down didn’t come naturally to me. I’m used to being in control, to planning and organizing every detail of my life. But as I started to heed their advice, something incredible began to unfold. I began to feel the weight lift off my shoulders, and a newfound sense of peace washed over me. It’s funny how something as simple as putting my feet up and taking a moment to appreciate the little things can make such a big difference! I started with just 15 minutes, three times a day, with my hand on my heart, expressing gratitude for the breath in my lungs, the beat of my heart, and the ground beneath my feet. And you know what? It worked. The more I embraced the pause, the more I felt the energy shift around me. Suddenly, tasks that once seemed daunting became effortless, and I found myself tapping into a wellspring of inspiration and creativity I didn’t know I had.
So, if you’re like me – a busy woman struggling to find balance in a chaotic world – I want to share with you seven simple ways to pause, breathe, and be:
- Start your day with gratitude – even if it’s just for the sunrise or the smell of fresh coffee.
- Take a stroll in nature and let the earth’s energy ground you.
- Practice mindful breathing to center yourself in the present moment.
- Create a sacred space in your home where you can retreat and recharge.
- Give yourself permission to take breaks throughout the day – even if it’s just to stare out the window and daydream.
- Release the need to control every outcome and trust in the flow of life.
- And most importantly, be kind to yourself. Remember, it’s okay to slow down and savor the sweetness of life.
In a world that’s always on the move, embracing the pause can feel like a revolutionary act. But trust me when I say, it’s in those moments of stillness that we truly come alive. So, take a deep breath, dear friends, and let’s journey together into the transformative power of “be-ing.”
In Loving Pause,
Sue
